Damian Pendergast, a Rural Supplier and Nicole Frost, an Agricultural Advisor have a combined 52 years’ experience working in the agriculture industry. The pair initially joined forces to create a fee-for-service agronomy company offering advice for farmers. Through
this venture, they identified a missing link between advisor, rural store, and farmer in terms of product supply, product awareness, and time management. They founded PEAK Pasture & Livestock (PEAK) in 2022.

Innovation: Developing technologies to reduce post harvest losses in grains, nuts and seeds using ambient air in an enclosed environment to manage temperature and particularly moisture content. This technology has been shown to cost effectively dry and store significantly wet product while preventing the deterioration of product quality.

‘AEI SmartBox’ technology operates behind a farmer’s energy meter to intelligently integrate irrigation operations with energy cost parameters. It automates irrigation processes and cleverly orchestrates them to provide significant energy cost reduction, time and labour savings, and the capability to participate in the emerging energy marketplace.

Among the first AgTech Seeds cohort were trio Adam Wang, Ke Ma and Jeff Peng who are developing vertical hydroponic technology with intelligent growth algorithms and IoT sensors to set new standards for fully controlled agriculture.
